Everyone watches short videos, reels etc. All day with a smartphone in their hands.

24/7.

And the thing is, those videos are cringe and boring and useless as fuck with all the same visuals, sounds, content, and shitty music mostly.

All the same things all day. I can not believe what is happening to this world.

I used to think we would all have a very developed world and society thanks to the mobile phones with internet connection and 24/7 access to the social media and information so easily. But it only made things worse. No even emotion on those fake things.

Society is so robotic now. Every person around me watches those videos only. And now plus add the AI content and visuals everywhere.

Yes even nuclear war is more enjoyable than those shitty and soulless short videos that you made. Do you have to kill yourself if you didn't enjoy a movie, or you just leave a feedback to make it better for the next time?
 
I like the idea of others wasting their time, that gives me the edge to become better than most people and work hard on my goals..
The sad thing is that people I care about and close to me are also in the rut and can't get out even with my advice
 
it definitely is very sad. Whenever I am out and drive past public transportations I always see people deep down their phones watching some bullshit content. However, it is good for people like us who put on ads and drive traffic to our offers. So see it was some kind of a win for us and a loose for society lol
 
Try and binge-watch some interesting series. For example Agents of Shield (Marvels), maybe some Korean Novelas. They are worth your time specially times like this. You can also try and find a new hobby.
 
Sometimes I'm walking on the street and there are people watching TikTok, Reels or Shorts like zombies, you can hear the AI generated voice narrating a shitty story and they are watching this garbage even on the street, sometimes blocking passage on the sidewalk
 
I have the same observation. I blocked short videos from my life, including that meaningless shit they call "Stories" that disappear after 24 hours in which people "story" their stupid life every minute, like I have time to watch their meaningless life.

Even good short videos (educational, intellectual stuff ...etc) are a bit cringe because they're trying to summarize a bunch of information in a very short period of time, and people will certainly forget that information quickly.

The platforms that doing this "quick dopamine videos" are doing it for the purpose of letting people get addicted to it. No wonder why the next video starts immediately after a video ends. And the publishers? They're just adapting with the system, if users love this kind of "quick dopamine" then they'll give it to them, and produce more of it.

I can't imagine myself scrolling for hours, that's why I blocked them in my computer. and in the phone, I'm just trying hard to avoid them.

Human nature is the same regardless of the technology on top of it.

You COULD have a society like that, but you would need the right leaders to bring out the best in humanity.

Today's leaders only seek profit and power and make slaves of the world.

People are slaves. They are comfortable, but still slaves. Very few are in control of their life. People wake and their day is dictated based on emotion and desire, which is directly controlled by the consumer driven corporate world.
 
On the other side, it is a very exciting time that you are all thinking clearly about reality and willing to have discipline to improve upon yourself to rise above the rest during this new era of IM gold rush.

Be selective of what you create and put out to your future generation so you will not regret it. And I do hope we can get that feeling back from the 90's/early 2000's again when things made more sense offline. It is lonely at the top sometimes, keep your head up!
 
Totally agree. Everything looks and sounds the same now. No originality left just dopamine loops.
