So, I have made a Youtube channel arround a niche that I am interested in, and gets a lot of views.

I purchased Video editing software for the first time in my life, This is how serious I was with the channel and editing process.

I made couple videos, And my channel shoots up intantly receiving well over 700 subs and 4k watchtime hours under 1 month, Then the graph stops and the subs stop, and the views decrease to oblivion!.

I guess, I was doing everything the same, But it feels like as if the algorithm has pushed the brake on my channel because it's about to be monetised or something?!

Does this happen or is it something that I need to figure out ?

I have stoped posting for 2 weeks and I am on month 2 now, It was stagnant for sometime, sort of like it is shadowbanned. but recently a new video i posted is getting me small amount of views, 400 views per day in total views for the channel currently.

any advice or tips is appreciated

It sounds like your channel has been shadow banned !
Maybe @YoutubeScientist can shed some light on this issue.

You could be suppressed for sure and I have covered this topic before.

points to remember.

1. you could be suppressed by youtube without you being made aware (shadowban).
2. it could just be an increase in competition which reduces your views.
in this case just create new channels as they will get better performance.
3. it could be that the trend died and it gets no more views.
it could also be that youtube shadowbanned the trend itself due to spam and abuse.
4. it could be associated with luck. the algorithm does not have a fixed formula that works 100% of the time. there definitely is luck involved too, and an element of randomization to it.
some channels may get "lucky" blows for no apparent reason, even if their content isn't that great.
on the other hand, there are channels who have been consistent for years and been uploading good content, yet they're treated unfairly because you have cases where people have this so called "lottery luck", who win without hardwork or for any apparent reason.

YouTube may be suppressing your channel and you have no idea about it (also read the comment by this user "LKururugiPK", he shares some valuable insights) :

Does YWV4 work? Looking for watch hours that will reflect for monetisation

Taking a 2 week break may slow down the growth of your account’s algorithm.

when reaching monetization youtube runs more controll to ensure your channel follows policy are you doing anything sketchy on your channel?

You may be shadowbanned. Or your trend has died.

I feel like the time scale and the views are not that large yet. It's normal for things to fluctuate and change over time. I'd expect there is a lot that you can do to continue building your channel. I hope your strategy was not just upload good videos and get views. It might happen for some channels, but those are the lottery winners. You can't wait for your channel to just explode, you have to stoke the flames for some time. Also if your niche gets a lot of views, it's likely quite competitive and it might be more difficult for new channels to get off the ground as there are enough big channels to gobble up those views.
