Hello, as many of you know, youtube has implemented an update to add google+ and comment upvoting no longer puts yours comment at the top. When google first added this update, upvoting and replies would get your comment pushed to the top, but now it seems like they added another fix and replies and comment upvotes are no longer effecting the comment. Is boosting your comments on youtube dead, or has anyone found a way around this yet?

I heard from others that the account has to be aged and seem like a real person and then their comments can get upvoted.

I am also noticing some comments will have replies and upvotes but won't be at the top, but rather somewhere in the middle or near the top. I know google is probably going to change everything until they find a sweet spot, but I would like to be able to promote in the mean time.

Do you think google comment spam is dead or do you think there will be a way to get your comment to the top again?

YouTube commenting is not dead, but it's extremely hard to get top comments now. I tried posting a comment with a very old account and it didn't even show... I probably have my IP f#cked up who knows... Me personally I haven't find a way YET.

Try commenting a comment that is extremely relevant to the title of the video.

Boosting your upvotes from the same IP -dead. Boosting your upvotes the same day/2 days - dead. Boosted over a period of time from different IP's - very much alive.

Hmmm, have you tested this? So let's say I have 20 accounts and 20 IPs. If I only upvote and reply with say 3 or 4 accounts per day, then the comment will go the top? Have you tested this?

I always do. Currently it isn't going to top.

Thumbs up does nothing trust me, it only means you like the comment nothing else.

Okay, so thumbs up is ruled out. So what decides ranking then? I have seen comments that have no replies and 2 or 3 thumbs up and are ranking higher than new comments, so I wouldn't say they hold no value...

I sure have. I noticed that I wasn't seeing results from the same IP (took me awhile to narrow that down since my comments were relevant to the video) . I also change browsers and computers. Though I do run SEO campaigns as well.

Look at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0

first comment has no thumbs up and is not even relevant.

Look at high search volume keywords - first results has 0 to no backlinks and has barely enough content to be considered a website. Not everything is a constant in marketing.
