So, today I stumble on a great YouTube video, only to discover that the sound is way too low. This has happened to me countless times and it's very annoying. Well, it turns out that there's a quick and easy fix:

Just un-checking that box improved the sound tremendously.

Learned about it last year.. It is a really handy trick to increase sound :D

Thanks, OP, that helped!

A tip:
After you select the Equalizer box, there is a dropDownBox at the bottom called 'Settings: ' at the bottom. While the video is still going on, with the up and down arrow on your keyboard, scroll through the different settings in that box, and the sound will change accordingly. You can use this when a particular video needs more tweaking to make it sound clearer and louder (while the video is still playing).

Nice! Tried the Powerful setting on the Hotel California video below and it totally rocked!

I'm currently using my laptop but when I get a chance I'll see what the Bass setting is like on one of the Brothers Johnson songs when I'm on my desktop PC (to get the full effect of the deep notes). "Thunder Thumbs" was one of the best bassists of all time, in my opinion.

I can't seem to find this on Win 10. Is it a non-existent issue on the new OS?
