Is Xrumer Still Useful For Anything Anymore??

Hey guys, this is for the more experienced SEO guys.

We use to run xrumer on 4 servers and now don't use it at all because it doesn't really work like it use to. We all know that these days you gotta feed the panda and use ton of contextual links etc.

SIDENOTE: We rank sites very well without it by using whitehat techniques.

But is there any practical use of xrumer that yields any good results now?
I mean besides profiles, which we all know you can't over do those anymore, so what the heck?

Now they want you to pay a monthly fee, for updates I guess but if It can't do anything but post a few profiles then it may not be worth keeping it.

Posting on forums is blown out!
The blog poster is shit (Scrapebox is much better)
You don't even want to mess with the PM poster (That's a NO NO!)
You can post to some wikis but too many and you get adverse effects
Guestbooks are played ( Google doesn't even index that kind of spam hardly anymore)

Is xrumer a tool of the past??? (R.I.P. Xrumer)

Just wondering what your thoughts are??

I would have to agree that I don't use XRumer as much because I have better success with some white hat methods but I think that if users think outside the box they find other uses.

I'm not a XRumer fanatic but if you can train it other platforms besides Forums, Blogs, Wikis and Guest pages you're golden.
 
Posting still works great. And using XRumer to build backlinks to other backlinks till work great. What do you mean with "Posting on forums is blown out"?

I mean blasting forums is dead and has been for a long time. You just get your proxies listed on spamhaus or whatever spam site is the flavor of the month.

Eveyone with a forum knows xrumer postings and will most likely just report you. Forum posting played out back when Daniel was the only guy on BHW selling xrumer blast.
 
Nope, ranking well without xRumer. I do ocasionally do a blast or two on my crappy buffers or web 2.0 though.
 
I own xrumer did not use it couple months... OP Please send me pm if you find a good use for it.

My guess is that monthly charge is to milk profits out of xrumer existing users since less people buy it. Lets be honest here ever since monthly charge came in how many updates did you see? a big fat ZERO

lol that's not the case at all. If you do it well, people won't even notice you dropped a link. It seems you don't know how to use XRumer except blasting profile links...
 
Forum postings seems to work great and they can bring immediate traffic if used properly..not so sure about other stuff because recently i havnt been using it other then the forum posting function.

anyway, your font colors are killing my eyes! :p

I can understand having a monthly fee and don't mind paying the $10 to keep the development alive.
 
It still works if you think outside the box.

Like another guy said, if you know how to mod xrumer you can post to pretty much anything.

I still see russian guys creating doorways and ranking them with xrumer. Im about to go down that avenue myself today actually.
 
If you guys are saying that forums are dead as a PR source than I feel you are wrong. Forums are great, but only a few... and those are HEAVILY moderated so you can't blast them really. So while the use of this tool on them might be no so good anymore, neither is really dead IMO.
 
Far from dead, you just have to know how to use it. Your target list has to be highly refined as well. And for the record, a forum post or a profile link can both be a contextual link if you make it that, google isn't half as smart as some people like to think it is.
 
Well, my Xrumer is sitting in corner as well..
Yes, I use it for posting sometimes, but not for backlink making, Google doesn't want to index them as well as it used to do.
