Is X (Twitter) still worth it for traffic?

I see mixed results with X. Some people claim it’s dead for organic reach, while others say it still drives crazy engagement with the right hashtags and threads. What’s your honest take? Do automation tools or AI-written posts still work without getting banned?

In which niches are you still seeing strong organic reach on X — crypto, NSFW, or something else?

X still works for traffic but it’s not as easy as before. Organic reach feels slower, but with good hashtags and consistency you can still pull engagement. Automation feels risky now though.

Social media will keep on generating views and traffic as long as millions of people are using it daily. You only have to change your niche and strategy to start seeing new reults.

X still works for traffic if you post good threads and use right hashtags. Automation and AI posts can help but use them carefully to avoid bans. Real engagement and mix of content work best overall.

X still works but the game’s changed. You need real conversations and timely posts, not just noise. Hashtags and threads can boost reach but only if they fit naturally. Automation or AI can get you flagged quickly if it feels fake. Keep it human and valuable.

If your strategy is sophisticated enough, of course, it's worth it. As anything else, it's not worth it for everybody, but it's worth it for the people who can do a good job with it.

Regarding creating posts with assistance and managing routine actions: The platform is definitely smarter at detecting non-human patterns. If you're using any form of help for content or repetitive actions, it needs to be really good and blend in naturally. Obvious machine-like material or overly aggressive activity will get you flagged quickly. Focus on quality and making it seem authentic; anything less is a high risk.

X is still alive for organic reach, but it's more about timing, the right content, and engagement. Hashtags play an important role, too.

Not sure automation still works for Twitter but so far as millions of people uses it daily, traffic can be driven from there. It’s just that they have made it a lot harder than it used to be years ago. They want you to pay, I.e use premium service before you can have most of the perks that you want.

So it’s more like it’s either you pay via ads or Twitter premium to get some reach or you keep posting and posting and performing all the other actions and hope you get lucky…

What is your niche?
X is still viable for traffic if you focus on engagement. Threads and strategic hashtags do work, but AI generated posts often get flagged if they're generic.

Honestly, X isn't dead, but you need consistency and valuable content, AI posts can work if they feel human, not spammy.

Definitely a lot less traffic these days. To put it as a % I'd say when compared to 10 years ago, it's around 10% of what it was.

He doesn't want to people to leave the platform, so the algorithm drops any tweets with outgoing links to a fraction of those without a link.
