Either there's loads of bots or people are just dumb on there.

Because I see so many engagement bait political garbage it's insane.

Kudos to the creators though since they be making money with ad rev.

Dont get me wrong there's certainly a few experts I follow on there but wow the for you timeline is utter garbage.

Literally pure ragebait.

Of course, like any other social network, it has bots, which is almost the top 1 platform for crypto scams.

I've never seen a fight like the bot war happening on X, Elon is doing his best, but panels are working way too hard to penetrate twitter with all forms of services, including Ai replies, once took part of it, and could tell that Elon is serious on bots unlike any other platform, we load about 20k followers a day on an exchange account, and wake up to 2k followers, we go again, and again for weeks, trying multiple platform, but none stayed past 24hrs, it was indeed a terrible experience on X.

The engagement bait is a problem. it’s a clear sign of algorithms prioritizing clicks over actual value, which is a shame. developers who build custom solutions can achieve incredible performance without needing bloated platforms

Honestly the for you page is full of ragebait now, algorithms just promote whatever makes people mad for clicks.

Bruh most genuine ppl are engagement baits there. And many are bots aswell, never take C seriously i would suggest ppl not using it if you wanna stay sane

Not really mostly bots, it’s just the algorithm pushes whatever gets more engagement, so that’s why you see a lot of ragebait and low quality posts.

While bots are present, the real issue is X's algorithm. The platform aggressively pushes extreme ragebait and engagement bait because controversy maximizes ad revenue clicks.

Like a cat and mouse war, right? xD

Seems so, even if you skip the for you timeline and look only at the people you are following, it is pointless to even open the replies because it is mostly just bots with AI replies

Panels have nothing to lose, they get the most money from the war, the marketers are in this for life, and will go on to terrorize Elon till he bends.
You've described this kind of war very nicely. How do you cope though, if you are a SMM panel and you lose hundreds or even thousands of accounts due to Musk's having stricter automation detection systems on X?

The big sharks in the SMM panel industry replenish millions of accounts on daily basis, the SMM panels we get to see have no much effort to place on this, they're like a chain connecting down to the right source, as for the guys making over 40k daily on this game, (the source) it'll not cost so much to fill up the banned accounts, resellers only bother about marketing, the money goes back to the source to fill up the armory for marketers to continuously strike on X

seems that you have some technical background on this subject
are you working in this industry or you are also reseller and just speaking from observation?
Yes, I was a reseller for reselling panels, had clients in the past that paid for smm services, and I worked using the panels provided on the marketplace, over the years, even on this forum the issue of Smm panels has been talked about on how the supply chain works, the reseller panels hardly gets to know the mother panel, where the supplies comes directly from, those are the big guys in the industry who take care of account sourcing, and replenishing the panels, it costs to maintain, but is nothing compared to the daily revenue generated by the reselling panels from the high demands of internet marketers across all socielmedia tiers.

whats the lesson though? what does work?

I disagree, and also, what they open sourced about its algo negates this. Its about engagement, and since were sorrounded by idiots which react to bait (of any shape or form), this looks as the platforms fault. But its not. They optimize for quality, interest and novelty.

X is a perfect representation of the new internet, just a bunch of bots trying to make money, a few people destroying their own mental health engaging on ragebaits, fake news and bullshit everywhere, at this point it's just a virtual sewer, there are some big rats eating there, but in the end it's just a a pile of shit

That's why I mostly stick to my Following feed now. It's a much better experience than endless ragebait.

Yeah, there are, but the bigger problem is the algo. It pushes outrage because outrage gets clicks, so the feed gets flooded with junk
