Is writing a multiple category blogs Issue?

It's fine check big media sites they have a lot of categories each with daily news (news blogging...) but for internal linking keep attention to have internal links within each category, example;

category wordpress
category page with description

then list your blog articles there who are linking to your single post
then link back from your single post to the wordpress category page and link back to the Home page (2 intern links on each single post) also not link form there to other categories (correct me if I'm wrong here)
