Is WP Fan Machine dead for Facebook now?

WP Fan Machine was/is a great plugin that took content from RSS Feeds and published automatically to selected FB Fan Pages.

It seems to me that FB have completely screwed this by their latest App creation policies.

Well..all good things come to an end I suppose but.....sad

Any got any recommendations on what are the best Autoposters around? Is there a good replacement?

Have you considered Hootsuite? I have not tried it though, I just registered for trial yesterday but I think it can get data from the feed and post it on your social media accounts? Not sure.
 
It's not as elegant a solution as WP Fan Machine Pro was plus there are limitations on the number of pages it will submit to before you have to upgrade. I appreciate that this is all FB cracking down on automation big time but..heck I suppose we all had a good run with Fan Machine.

Just need a solution that will post to multiple/unlimited Fan Pages. Obviously not all at the same time but.... The thing was that Fan Machine Pro could be set up to deal with just one page at a time and everything was powered via Cron. This mean that with the unlimited version you could submit to unlimited pages but all managed separately so that you never had all the pages literally updating with the same post at the same time.

Was a very cool function but had to be controlled via a FB App and the process of App Management has now become a very tightly controlled process and it seems that FB won't allow anyone to create an app for this purpose without them almost having to approve the process first...unless I'm mistaken?
 
Try PostCron, they support up to 150 pages per account

Yes they change this july and it's over. You can simply do that with 2 plugins. Find a rss import pluin and wp to fb poster. SNAP pro works great.

FM machine was more then that, the way you get likes 9if to comment on other pages, you are not going to do that with these plugins, it is not even close
 
I know...it really was a class plugin and approach.

I'm talking to their tech support and creators now to see what can be done. They claim that it's business as usual and that all that needs to be done is use the right process for app creation but....not too sure but then I'm no expert on app creation.

Haven't used wp fan machine and not into wp lately. Noticed same team released somthing called facebook marketer or somthing like that. Seen that on somewhere else.

yeah they are quick hitters, making a hyped up software, give a free webinar, sell ton of copies, discontinue the software for a new shiny object, repeat the progress :)

I'm Using WP Fan Machine 2 PRO Version 1.4.3 Last year August I created FB app it's still working, this Feb i created new fb page that page also getting likes.
 
I'm using fan machine 2 which seems to still post using rs feed and youtube. but what I've noticed when I create a new campaign it doesn't fetch any data for pages from facebook :/
 
Are you still managing to create FB Apps for the Plugin and pages properly? That's the issue we're having...creating the FB Apps so that the plugin will work?
 
New apps I create don't work. the original app seems to still work. but then it doesn't seem to pull the data for pages in fan machine.

The only difference i can see with the original Facebook app and a new one is this setting ... "Use Strict Mode for Redirect URIs" in log-in settings on my original app it's off, but on the new app you create it's on and you can't turn it off.
 
i'm having problems with the "Valid OAuth Redirect URIs".
It always return Error.

Anyone have solved this?

In the fan page settings you should have a valid OAuth redirect url just cope that across to the app
 
On the plugin:

Valid OAuth Redirect URIs
Copy following URL to your Valid OAuth Redirect URIs of Facebook APP - Facebook Login panel https://[mypage].com/wp-content/plugins/FanMachine2Pro/facebookcallback.php

on the app, i should insert the link, but it returns error: The url is not on APP Domain. Insert all domains and subdomains on the app...
i've seen videos on how to do it, but it's not working. (tested with http and with https)
 
I think that's because of what I said above you can't turn off the "Use Strict Mode for Redirect URIs" in the app log in settings. That's the only difference I can see with a new app and my old app.
