Just putting your product on Clickbank is not NEARLY enough. You have to be proactive in attracting affiliates to your product.
I was just having this conversation with someone in private messaging so I'll tell you the same thing I told him/her:
It's not enough to just put your product on CB and expect people to find it and start promoting it. There are thousands of products there. You have to go after potential affiliates as if you were going after customers. Make it attractive and easy for them to promote. Once you have enough to get your gravity up its much easier, but the initial push is the most important.
Approach blog and website owners in your niche (there are plenty) and get them to place your banners on their site. Offer them unique content, guest posts, free reports to offer their visitors, etc. Make it as easy as possible for them.
Affiliate recruitment is not easy - it's a full-time job. In fact, it's more than a full-time job. Personally, I spend at least 5 or 6 12+ hour days just researching potential affiliates and making a huge spreadsheet with all their information before I even contact them by email. Then a couple of days later I follow up with another email. Then, if they are potentially a big enough affiliate, I follow up with snail mail, a phone call, etc.
Being proactive really pays off.
Hope this helps a little and gives you some insight on how to get your foot in the door.
