Is WP the best that is out there for anybody wishing to start a Review Blog to use as part of their Affiliate Business?

I've read in the past that Wordpress are NoFollow by default, so was just wondering if Wordpress has any problems with the SEO aspect?

I only know wordpress, but from speaking to other people and reading other peoples reviews I can say it is the easiest to use. But Like I said I couldn't say it whether it was the best or not.

I installed it last year but at the time, wasn't taking this type of thing seriously, so didn't use it much.

I think I'll go ahead and install it and see how I get on.

Wordpress.com blogs have comment author URLs nofollowed, nothing to do with the actual Wordpress software though.
Google loves WP so you shouldn't have any SEO problems.

I wouldn't say it's the best, but it's more than adequate for what you describe, easy to use etc.

Yup. WordPress.com is just the website offering free hosting for bloggers. But if you download the WordPress blogging software, you can install it in your own host server and do whatever you want with it.

Better off using bluehost or hostgator for your own hosting and installing wordpress there. You get more options and customizability and can probably get more SEO value out of it

yes i think wordpress is best for what it is that you are looking to do.
it's so popular that there's like a quazillion plugins for just about anything you want. especially black hat plugins. but personally, i think drupal is the best CMS out there. but it does not have 1/40 of the black hat scripts available for wordpress. if it did, i would be all over drupal.

wordpress is the easiest. I don't know if it is the best in any other terms. easy to install, easy to manage, and you get a very wide variety of plugins for it, and you can make your own plugin pretty easily

OK sorry if this sounds dumb, but my host uses Plesk, not CPanel. But they offer the wordpress plugin which I assumes installs it automatically once I've typed in my FTP details and username/password.

Will Plesk work just as well?

i guess the best is what suits you but the thing about wordpress is that if you run into any problems...there are many more people here familiar with it to be able to help you out since its the most widely used...

I'm looking to use my wordpress for reviewing purpose as I've read reviews gain trust and trust is what you need if ever dealing with affilate marketing.

How did you get your wordpress blog to behave in a reviewing fashion? Can visitors rate the reviews and comment or write further reviews themselves on the product in question?

Wordpress is amazing for all level of users. However I find Drupal is more SEO friendly than WP. The problem with Drupal is it might seem hard for many users. If you are into blogging, I think it's better to use scribd.com and embed the flash paper in your WP blog. Cuz scribd is powered/backed by Drupal guys. Just my 2 cents :)
