Is Wordpress commenting a waste of time?

wp links are not a waste because as they get approved some are do follow.

I doubt it is coincidence, but with all the spamming plugins wordpress has some of your comments might not have been successful and some maybe removed. My opinion forum profile backlinks are the best way to go.
