It's used by millions, well maintainted & secured, thousand of plugins & themes and pretty easy to use with all the features you'll need,

It’s not shit hahaha. I don’t like the developer experience, but wordpress can be made to be super fast and efficient, specially with the latest php versions. I actually like how simple it is to setup haha.

The learning curve to get started with WordPress isn't steep and there are MANY, I say MANY e-commerce themes available!

Yeah, to be honest, full credits to wp for that. I started with joomla, but the first real love I had for a framework/cms platform was for wp, since it uncomplicated a lot of things for me compared to joomla.
** with 4 unique visitors per day, lol.

WP can be used for everything, there are better choices in several cases,
but it does the job perfectly for any ecommerce website

If I remember correctly it was a hmvc based platform. It was a hell to add new features to lol. Then wp made it simple by introducing hooks and callbacks.
