Hey guys! Do you think .wiki is a good extension for a niche blog? since .com is taken everywhere, which else would you prefer?

.com URLs are over 33% more memorable than URLs with other top-level domains.
.com is the #1 most trusted TLD, with . co in a close second place.
When people try to remember a URL, they're 3.8 times more likely to assume it ends in .com than anything else.
See : https://growthbadger.com/top-level-domains/
It shows you more details about domain extensions: .com vs .org, .net, .io & 4 Other TLDs (Study) , Trust rankings , Memorability scores , Mis-remembrance rate , Which domain extension is best with some comparisons and results , study method .

Hope this Helps !

Wikis are a great modern way to share info. And now there's a domain extension just for wikis.
It was proposed in ICANN's New generic top-level domain Program.

Instead of choosing .wiki, I will choose .com because it is the most memorable and familiar domain name even for hosted and shared blogs.

Every extension is good enough if what you're building aligns with it.

Words that you would generally put at the end of your domain name and then add a .com, instead now, you can select extensions ending with those words making it easier for the user to type in the domain name.
