Is Weebly worth it for a Web Design noob?

I've used Weebly in the past for small projects and I like their drag and drop build features but now I'm looking to build something a little more professional.

I feel like the Pro package where you can use your own domain is kind of expensive at $15/month. Am I wrong in thinking this?

Weebly isn't bad, in fact I've used it in the past and you can create beautiful websites effortlessly.

Although if you have a choice, then go with WordPress you have way more themes, it's free (need to buy domain + hosting), and no programming knowledge is required at all.

I would deffo do wordpress. What the thing is with wordpress you can start out as a noob and do some great sites that look as if some designer has created them but as you go on in months and years you can easily start do bits of coding here and there yourself giving you more freedom than a drag and drop platform

That's what I'm liking about Wordpress. Trying to keep the monthly costs as low as possible.

I had a website on Yola that was making a very lot of money, and the cunts deleted it, even though it was not against there terms and conditions. That was the last time I put my work or trust into any third party shite.

I ended up putting it on WordPress, but it never really regained it's traffic, probably not even 50%. I used to love Yola for ranking, was way easier to rank a Yola site than WordPress.

I wasn't using it as a parasite using a .yola extention. I was using their paid plan with my own domain.
