Is using website name as an author okay for the blog article?

I am using the information such as the article is written by (mywebsitename.com) under the title, or should I use the author's name right under the title? What do you suggest? Does this impact on ranking?

I'd use an author name. Why don't you do that?
 
an author name or pen name would be great, it builds credibility and as it shows the writer is an expert in that matter/field
 
I am using on one of my site, it's a business site like mybestgraphicsstudio.com. haven't bother to change it , it's 3 year old site. Traffic goes up and down though.
But thinking to change the author name. See what happens...
Knowing what I know now definitely use an author name even a fake persona is fine.
 
You should always use an author, even just an alias.
 
I think it doesn't matters much regarding the rankings. But if you add the author name it will increase trust of your site.
 
I don't bother with an author alias. I use website name. Never had a problem yet. I would leave out the .com though. I haven't seen much evidence that author or author pages matter since Google cannot fact check these very well since anyone can make up any author with all sorts of made-up credentials. I'm in the health sector where something like that would ideally matter most and it doesn't. Author won't help authority. Other sites citating to you will create more authority.
