Hey everyone, I’m curious about your thoughts on using PBN (Private Blog Network) websites in 2025.

I know PBNs used to be a popular shortcut for boosting backlinks and ranking faster, but with all the new Google updates and stricter spam policies this year, I’m just wondering? Are PBNs still effective or just a risky move now?

Has anyone here still seen good results from using them recently, or is it better to focus on white-hat link building strategies instead?

Would love to hear your real experiences and opinions on this!

There are still many PBN sellers on this forum who are getting orders in bulk. So the service must be beneficial.

pbns are like that one friend who keeps showing up even though everyone knows their tricks by now

If your PBN network is related to your niche, it will work as it has always done.

PBNs can still work, but the risk is much higher now with Google’s newer spam filters. Most people get safer long-term results focusing on clean, white-hat link building instead.

PBNs can still be effective in 2025 if they are built carefully with clean domains, real content, and a natural link pattern. Many people still see strong ranking boosts when the network is high quality. As long as you keep everything looking natural and avoid obvious footprints, PBNs can be a powerful and fast way to push competitive keywords.

Yes they work great and will always work. :)

Easiest way to rank your site. :)

From my view, Yes - PBN still move rankings, which are built with clean domains, unique content and strong footprint control. They can give a strong boost in competitive niches with faster results, But not ideal for long - term stability. Use white - hat links, it can still a powerful part for balanced SEO approach

Yes, PBNs can still work! If you’re very careful. But the risk is very much higher now with Google’s tighter spam checks. If you mess up with deindexing, drops, or manual penalties are real. If you do it clean and mix PBN links with natural authority links, you can still get good results. I think you can building safe, white-hat links is much safer and more stable in the long term.

Yes, google hasn’t killed PBNs, it’s only killing badly maintained, footprint-heavy networks. The reality in 2025 is that clean domains, real content, mixed link profile and proper hosting/spread still move rankings. I’m still seeing solid results on niche sites using small, high-quality networks.

In 2025 PBNs are very risky due to Google stricter spam policies. While they might still work short term, focusing on white hat link building is safer and more sustainable.

Yes, PBNs still work in 2025 but only if they are built and managed properly. Clean domains, strong hosting separation, quality content, and natural link patterns still deliver solid results.

PBNs in 2025 still work, but only when they are built like genuine authority sites with real content and clean histories. The old footprint-heavy networks are getting wiped out fast with the new spam updates. I treat PBNs as a small supporting layer now, not a core ranking strategy. Real-site links guest posts, PR, niche edits are still the safest long-term play.

PBNs are now highly risky and largely ineffective in 2025 due to Google’s advanced spam detection—white-hat link building is the safer, smarter long-term strategy.

This is absolutely untrue.

PBNs work perfectly fine, and in 2025, they are also an excellent way to influence LLMs.

The still work. But it is not easy to create and run for long term for beginners. Only experienced people will be able to do it.

'Stricter spam policies' is a good one - have you seen the stuff that's ranking these days?

If your PBN sites are made to look like proper business entities/personal blogs in their own right, and you treat them as such, you'll get the most out of them. If your PBN consists of standard Wordpress-themed sites covering every niche under the sun, good luck.

'White-hat link building' is akin to prayer.

For small or low competition sites, if done carefully, PBNs can work as an accelerator. For high quality or long term sites, white hat link building is safer and more sustainable.
