Is using my own articles curated by chatgpt bad for seo?

In the past I made a blog with my own articles

But being a non-english native and not very versed in writing (regardless the language) chatgpt seemed very helpful to me

It improved all grammar issues in the text and gave it way more sense and more skillful writing

BTW it wasnt something like this:
- hi give me article
- here! (...)
- thx

It was more like:
- hi improve this text
- here! (...)
- thanks! (makes few changes before posting it on the website)

But the blog struggled to index, i indexed only 2 pages out of all of them and they even deindexed at some point.

Im creating a new set of sites now and i wonder
if using text written by chat gpt, (in small amounts or modified by human), can be detected by GOOGLE
and result in subtracted points from the SEO score of your website in their engine.

Many people are using such articles these days, you should be fine if you offer value.

Text by chat gpt could be detected if directly copied from chatgpt but with your own you have no issues because you modified yours. For you to have gotten few indexing on your blog could be as a result of your content or technical issues. To solve this, improve your website health, focus on high quality content and build back links.

ChatGpt written articles are good for tier 2 backlinks. But never use that to your main site.

You can use chatgpt, but you should use more advanced prompts than just "give me article about x", and also manually check them/make a few changes before posting.

ChatGPT or Ai content can easily be detected nowadays. I have noticed in my tests that they are much harder to index than human generated ones even if you have modified them as long as you generated them originally from AI. Hence, use original content on money sites and leave AI for tier2.

sure you can use those ai stuff, but if you use all its content completely, it will reduce your web value. I have seen many previous blog sites now using gpt to generate content, resulting in a lower dr value.

Using ChatGPT for article curation can be a helpful tool, but it's important to use it wisely and responsibly. Ensure your final content is original, high-quality, and reflects your expertise and voice. Treat ChatGPT as an assistant, not a replacement for your own critical thinking and writing skills.

I completely agree with your Point !

You can use AI generated content but not 100% of it. Make changes to humanize it that will help to index and rank it fast.

Be careful, using AI for your website text. Google might not like it, and your site could get in trouble. Mix in your own words to be safe. Untill and unless you are providing value you are safe

You can use chatGPT for articles but don't copy paste the same thing what chatGPT gives, rephrase it by yourself and check whether the text is grammatically correct this will be a safer side.

Use tools as originality.ai and see what scores your posts have, if are under 30% Human then my suggestion is they are bad, if originality can detect your posts as AI then Google will detect them 100%

You can use the AI generated articles on tier 2 links & short term projects. I don't recommend using them on the money site.

I would look to be specific in your prompts - go beyond just improve this article.

Ask gpt to operate as a line editor and then as a proof reader.

A couple of extra things to ask chatgpt to do is make sure everything is in the active voice and to eliminate unnecessary words.

According to my tests, new domains with only Chat GPT texts generated with the GPT-3 language model can get a site4 penalty from Google.

You can use Chat GPT to combine your own creativity to generate a content outline, and then fill in the details yourself.

You can use ChatGPT for article creation, but also include you own words and try to add additional points.
