Is it even worth it to try driving traffic to my sites with Twitter? A lot of people say the traffic won't convert. I'm using Follow Liker to drive traffic to a fairly general (but somewhat targeted on one topic) viral-style site. I want to monetize it either with Adsense or maybe, if the traffic grows enough, with CPM ads.

My other site is a niche health site focused on a disease. I'm using CrowdFire to grow my Twitter account for that and trying to make it as targeted as possible (only following people who follow other large accounts in the niche, or who tweet using my site's keywords).

Just wondering what other people's experiences have been as far as getting Twitter traffic to convert.

What i've been wondering. I think it just depends on how much traffic it is

definitely worth, social media includes facebook, twitter, instagram and so on, if you do a good job in twitter, the value is priceless

Of course, it is. But it all depends on how much traffic you can manage to drive into your account.

Personally I uses adsense to monetize for twitter traffic to my blog and it works very well. If you are trying to sell something, do a reverse computation and assume that 0.01% of your traffic you receive will result in conversion. Thus to get one sale, you will need to get at least 10,000 unique visitors to your site. The conversion rate will depend upon the types of product that you are selling and how targeted is your traffic. If you can get 100,000 unique visitors, you can easily get around 10 sales a day.

I monetize Twitter traffic and i feel it is one of the easiest way to get targeted traffic to your site.

I would definitely say that Twitter is worth getting traffic from. I would suggest to try and get more targeted followers in your niche and that would help you out. Also using other social media sites such as Pintersest and Instagram, would help too.

If you will get targetted traffic it will be worth getting it. If you will simply get "followback" niche followers it won't convert for sure.

Target & attract and make conversion :)

I've had a little bit of success so far with twitter and crakrevenue. not a huge success but hopefully the small earnings will fund some bigger projects.

Twitter and other social media sites are helping most of us to make money. It's really worth it, a lot of members here use twitter to drive traffic to their site and it works very good for them. I also use it to drive traffic to my site, I don't know about the conversions from this traffic but I also have CPM ads, so it doesn't matter if they convert or not. :p You should grow your accounts and get more targeted traffic to your site. ;)

twitter traffic is still profitable as long as its purely non bot traffic

I have a hosting reseller and made a twitter account with it. I am using Tweepi to increase real followers. I will let you know if it is legit or not in actually bringing in traffic.

Noob question: I am now starting to use twitter for my hosting reseller. As you have stated you are making money from doing this. Who should my target audience be would you say online marketing or small business?
