So I guess Twitter has decided that anyone can send followers to their competitors, and then their competitors get temporarily limited or permanently banned.

The account in question has less than 7k followers. And their followers aren't even that bad. We're talking 95%+ with a profile picture. Most of them are actually real and organically gained too. Very few are bought.

How the hell can somebody control what kinds of followers they're getting?

All of you guys that have competitors on Twitter and want to get them out of the way, spend some money, send them some followers, and Twitter will take care of that for you. Make sure to use the cheapest most low quality followers you can buy, for higher success rate.

I've never seen anything like it. The stupidest shit I've ever seen.

Well, let's see who I don't like on Twitter, and "take care" of them :D

I'll start with elon tusk. He will be banned in no time guys!

Haha

The problem with this is that you cant really hurt elon or cnn or amazon or any big di*k.

But any little guy can be ruined, through no fault of their own and no ability to stop it.

The only way to stop it, i guess, is to set your account to Private and filter who you accept to follow you. But then you might as well go focus on Facebook or Instagram or Tik tok or Youtube, and forget about twitter, because a private account wont help almost anyone.

You are right. Setting account private is practically useless. I run a Twitter account for a media website and setting it to private fails the purpose of its existence. It has many competitors too.

bro what happened to "not participating on the forum for a few months" lol

yeah that is unfortunate, right now they are doing everything to stop bots in twitter, but they are also damaging real users accounts, I know that sometimes might not make a difference but try to appeal this and mentioned that you are not spamming and just providing content and interacting with your users and let's hope for the best.

This is not just Elon and Twitter - Twitter runs on Amazon's CDN cloud service. If you get shadowbanned on ANY Amazon CDN cloud service site you will also be flagged as well.

It depends on the activity of the account, twitter focuses on mass follow for follow and spamming of any kind. I don't think having fake accounts can terminate an account easily. Though have not tried it yet, but if that's the case they must have thought about it before passing the rule. Remember Elon keeps tweeting about new updates he would have said it too, the last time he made tweets about fake accounts he said people will lose a handful of followers because they'll be deleting bot accounts. So, if the above account wasn't used by bot apps, different proxies etc I think an appeal would solve the dispute.
