is twitter now blocking new users from following?

i am playing with 2 twitter accounts today. my old one: i can follow people and it shows up instantly. My new one: no matter how many times i try, when i follow someone, it says I am now following them, but my following count is still always zero. Have tried many x from 2 diff browsers and even 2 diff IPs and same thing is happening.
Is twitter now making people wait so many hrs after creating acct to follow people? seems stupid....

Twitter is just shakey as hell. One day it works, one day it doesn't. It's probably just another fucking system blip.
 
heh, i just started to follow ~100 people per account on some new accounts.. First account followed accounts ok, then next accounts stopped working.. Logged into one and it shows tweets from the people im following, but its not showing anyone in my following/followers list (or showing a number).
 
Same problem over here, followers not adding up.... darn Twitter
 
well, looks like i'm not alone. nico52: is your twitter account brand new too? that's exactly what mine's doing
 
twitter is still jacked up today. still can't follow anyone on the account i created yesterday, and i am doing it manually, real human style. dang.
 
I still can follow people with new accounts just that 0 people follows me back.

weird. i can't even follow. it says i am following them but still shows me following 0 always
 
490 following (supposed to be 500) 0 followers

still getting a lot of dmspam
 
it's surprising and a bit disturbing how frequent the issues are at twitter.

Thought i was the only one with this problem, i see that i'm not. Kind of a relief, but still the issue really needs to be resolved.

This actually happened to my main account a while back and it scared me to death. Hopefully this will work out soon.
 
my followers went down from 500-600 followers to 0 followers :( i have no idea what happend...i'm doing nothing..no following,unfollowing..and it's happend to 5 account..each of them showing 0 followers...
what's wrong with twitter??
 
funny how a website as big as twitter has so many problems created by poor coding.

Same exact problem here! How can a website that's like the 1st or 2nd most popular website have so many problems and be so f*cking slow?!
 
They're onto us, THE DEATH OF TWITTER "MARKETING"!!!!!
but really, disabling reciprocal following would really cut down on all that spam :)
 
Seems like in their zeal to try to 'clean up our act' they are just making cascading errors by the boatload.

Playing dominoes with our accounts... how fun....
