back before twitter put in its restrictions for adding friends, people could use bots to add thousands upon thousands of users... even tens of thousands or more just by letting a bot run.

then, twitter added this restriction that you can only follow something like 10 times the number of followers you have.

has this effectively killed the mass following twitter marketing tactic?

i tried creating a twitter account and put a ton of time and bots in to it but the limitation of only being able to follow 10 times the number of followers you have is killing me.

have mass following twitter tactics died?

well in my opnion yes it is dead..

A few days ago I created a new twitter account and startet to mass follow people.. the first day I only added like 300 people.. around 50 of them were following me the next day.. The second day I added another 600 people..

On the third day like 150 people were following me and I was following around 1000 people.. On that third day I followed another 500 people.. a few hours after following them my account was supsended..

Yeah its fucking dead!! I have accounts with 21000 followers And got suspend , due to strange activity.

No, I actually follow 500 persons who follow me back everyday. The "normal" people usually create lists with a lot of persons who follow back. I have 93 lists who have persons who follow back (persons, no spammers).
I sell these lists.
It is ideal for CPA or e-whoring, because the lists are for countries and regions, and they are normal people. I have lists in:
Brazil - 33 lists
USA- 9 lists
China - 3 lists
French - 3 lists
Germany - lists
World - 9 lists
Without information country : 33 lists.

If any with buy me a list, just PM. Also, I sell Twitter Software.

CPA ewhoring through Twitter followers seems like too specialized a skill.

I think OP is talking in the range of thousands of followers even tens of thousands of followers. 500 is nice but still not in the "massive" range desired.

Maybe I am wrong about this, does each one of your 93 lists contain 500 real (non-spam) followers, that is a different story? However, I don't believe that is what you meant.

Just my thoughts.

Kind Regards,

seems like adding 300 a day is safe. I hear the magic # is 240. I had an account that had about 6500 followers in it that I was adding 500-600 a day that got suspended.

a good free Twitter friend adder is at

http://twiogle.com/blog/twiogle-twitter-friend-adder/

it allows you to add 200 friends per day automated with the free version. (Yes I wrote this software)

Twitter is still alive and kicking. Just follow until you drop and create accounts continuously.

i didn't know there was such a restriction. haven't used twitter in a while though. :) but starting off, you should go slower...
