Is too much Importance given to DA/PA on SEO?

For a while now, I have been wondering if we are all paying too much attention to DA/PA when it comes to building a blog? Yes, they can be useful in measuring authority but is this telling the whole story anymore? This list may be outdated, because Google has done its new thing with human quality and engagement. Would you agree with my observation that some of the focus on DA/PA could cost (instead of making) them their ranking or traffic?

It has nothing to do with overall website performance, consider it to measure your backlinks profile authority. But Ahrefs DR is more accurate than DA.

DA and PA can only be balanced through backlinks.

Yes, PA/DA doesn't care more days, users are looking for real authority and traffic, specifically DR and actual visitor numbers.
