i have an instagram with 5k followers i want to start an shopify store but i dont know if is time to start or i need to grow more

5k followers isn't enough to satisfy you with sales, try growing the account more. it also depends on your engagement and if your followers are targeted
 
Yeah. I had(it got disabled I'm trying to get it back) an account with 243,000 followers and even then you probably need about 1mil to profit from Instagram. I would stick to affiliate marketing, and then once you build up your brand and get more followers (500,000+ minimum), I would open a store then.
 
I launched my Shopify store today, I have 22k Followers in a fashion Niche and I wish I would've started at 5k. You may not see the amount of income you'd like to make.. But anything is better than nothing, plus you'll learn alot as your IG account grows! Good Luck
 
Starting a Shopify Store is not a bad idea but try to get more followers (15k+) to actively generating income from your website. By the time you have 15k followers, your website will have got good ranking in Google and good organic traffic and traffic from your followers.

1 mil to profit from IG? Are You kidding me? The numbers are much lower I am sure. Unless Your 243k IG account was dead and engagement was low.. Otherwise I am sure 243k followers active IG account would bring sales.
 
From my experience, I would wait. I launched with a VERY targeted 30k audience and only managed to push 15-20 products. Not bad but it's also not consistent money and you have to remember the Shopify fees. Do what you want but from my experience, I'd wait until 80,000+, if you don't want to be disappointed by the numbers.
 
In my opinion, why not? It can't really hurt in my opinion unless your funds are important and you need them for like food or paying bills. Only do it if you can afford it for months on end without problems.

Just my 2 cents, others won't agree with me.
 
5k is enough to generate profits trust me, you will not gain it from your page but from shoutouts you buy from other pages advetising your product from your page.

Hey, so for this do you recommend having the page as a general BRAND page for your products? Or the same niche page you grew turned into a store with few product pictures in between and a link to your shop in the bio?

Thanks in advance. I am growing a page with a great name and highly targeted followers with good engagement so far, so want to see when and how to do it to pull the most i can but also cut on ANNOYING my followers with it. I guess a separate brand page would be the best if so.
