Sure optimising your TikTok content to get more views is important. But TikTok at it's heart is a social platform where people go for distraction, connection, and light entertainment. Are they really there SEARCHING for information in the same way they use Google, or finding the best product in the same way?

it reallt depends of the perspective applied to tiltook is more like optimization, move traffic from other platforms or websites using tiktok or the other way around requires some seo depending on the method to move or get that traffic all is in the method you use.

Actually there is SEO inside and outside of TikTok.

TikTok videos will rank on Google if its a long tail KW that people are not targeting.

As far as inside the TikTok algo, I have videos that have gone viral all due to SEO within TikTok, and you can see this inside the posts insights under "Search Queries"

Look inside TikTok Studio for other content ideas under Recommended > "Searched For"

I think TikTok SEO is real, although its form is different from traditional SEO. TikTok SEO involves optimizing your content so that it ranks higher in search results within the TikTok platform, thereby increasing your video’s exposure and views.

There's no SEO on TikTok. Just post videos regularly with good content to go viral on the platform.

I don't think Tiktok has SEO, or at least the type of SEO we know. Tiktok's ability to recommend depends on the parameters on that content.

Not sure, but I have realized that people usually just open the app and start scrolling rather then searching something specific.

Yes and no.

TikTok SEO in of itself using target keywords in hashtags is not really going to move the needle.

A lot of people played around with this, and I'm sure you can look up old threads of people saying that this stuff doesn't work.

It doesn't on its face, but it does work in a roundabout way.

When you use hashtags as well as keyword-crafted titles, you are more likely to attract the eyeballs of people who are really interested in certain niches.

If you attract enough of these people, TikTok will start to classify your content along the lines of the interests of people who fit the profile of the niche-interested people.

Do you understand where I am coming from?

I hope this is not confusing.

Facebook used to operate this way, but they kind of dropped the ball.

TikTok mastered this.

You have to understand that TikTok seems to magically read people's minds in terms of niche selection because of user profiling.

They don't profile people individually so that the information is personally identifiable.

Instead, they put people in terms of "niche clusters."

A person who is interested in a niche would be looking for certain criteria, and this can be tied to hashtags and certain types of videos and then it goes on from there.

To top it all off, TikTok uses an automated learning system so it makes a lot of guesses based on categories, and it will verify if those guesses are correct based on actual user behavior.
