Is TikTok mass DM worth it?

What are your personal experience? If your ROI is positive, try to scale it up. If your ROI is negative with your tests, forget it, or at least change your approach.
I think TikTok DMs give a push notification if it hits inbox, but yeah I haven't seen anyone say if they actually convert.
I haven't tried advertising anything yet, just seeing how many DMs I can send that hit inbox per account. My cost is very low but I would be spending a lot of development time on scaling this.
Mostly just looking for others experience with TikTok mass DM, since I couldn't find much on others doing it.
I'm not 100% sure but I believe you get a push notification from requests, as long as it's not filtered/marked spam.

Honestly, the conversion rate is everything. Have you tried A/B testing with smaller batches to get some real numbers before scaling up?

You only see +1 at requests, not push notification, because the message requests section is like a junk folder. Not gonna catch your attention like a message from friend with push notification, or not even like a comment pop up in-app.
Plus, even if you check activity often, you'll start ignoring the message requests section fast because 99.99% of those messages are spam anyway.

In short, no it is not worth it as the algorythm will ban you quick.
That isn't a problem for me.
I tried dming myself a few times and I did get a push notification for unread messages after awhile, saying "You have 1 new message". Though if people don't bother checking then I guess it's not actually very good. I'll try doing a test and see what it looks like.

I don’t think it’s worth it. Instagram is very different from TikTok. On Instagram, users are more likely to look for new people to connect with, while TikTok is all about retention and pure entertainment.

I'd be looking at doing a small batch test before looking to message 100k + people. Most, I suspect will just ignore as spam.

It's just tiktok trying to get you back. It does it after a while if you haven't been on, doesn't matter if it's a request or a number of likes. Doesn't do it for every request.
Well that's unfortunate... I'll still do a test but not expecting much.
I already have everything setup to pump out thousands of quality tiktok accs daily, just trying to figure out what to do with them outside of mass mention or uploading*.

From what ive seen, very little people care to respond on tiktok, there is those who do though its just saturated with a bunch of random people watching your content. Ive seen Instagram mass dms work like a charm for some people. Have not seen anyone do it for tiktok, curious to see if it would work well. will be checking up on this thread!
