Is TikTok cracking down on reposts now?

Just wondering if anyone here is still having success reposting content on TikTok?
I’ve been testing a few methods: editing videos, changing audio, adding text overlays. But I’m not sure if TikTok’s content detection has gotten stricter recently.
Are reposts still working for you guys in 2025, or is it becoming too risky now?
Would love to hear what’s working (or not) from people who’ve been doing this at scale.

They’ve definitely gotten better at detecting reused content. Stuff that used to pass with simple edits now gets flagged more often.
Fipping + cutting + adding overlays + adjusting speed. Also, don’t reuse captions or hashtags from the original.

TikTok seems to flag reposted content more when multiple accounts follow the same upload patterns or come from the same environment. To reduce the risk, I keep each account in a separate browser profile using an antidetect browser (multilogin, goLogin, hidemyacc, etc.) with a clean residential proxy. That way, every account looks like it’s on a different device.
What’s been working for me is combining multiple small tweaks. Things like flipping the video, cropping or zooming in/out, cutting or rearranging clips, adding overlays or emojis, changing color tone, adjusting speed, pitch-shifting the audio, or even distorting voices slightly. Every layer adds noise to TikTok’s detection system. Still works, but definitely needs more prep than it used to.

Repost of content still work with TikTok with the available of app to download no watermark video and make edit before reupload to make legit content.

Detection is stricter, edit videos significantly, change audio, add overlays, and avoid exact reposts. Mix in original content for better results.

there job is to crack down so as to keep legit content flowing

ensure you add unique elements like commentary, music, or edits to make the repost feel original. Additionally, always credit the original creator and avoid reposting copyrighted content without permission.

Reposted video detection is getting more sophisticated, detectable and fast.
You need to edit the video properly and reduce the reason.
If necessary, you can cite the source to avoid other spam accounts reporting.

Reposting success in 2025 is uncertain due to stricter content detection. Methods like editing, changing audio, and adding text overlays may not be as effective. It's becoming riskier, and feedback from those doing it at scale is needed to determine current viability.

My old account was disabled. I created a new account and reposted old videos (that were posted on the old account) and the engagement dropped significantly, I'm hoping I won't get a warning for reposting old videos, even though they were mine.
