is this whitehat? or atleast is it not detectable

Linkedin profiles seem to be great backlinks, with that said here is my idea:


using different ip addresses for each profile I create on linkedin and calling them an affiliate of my company. Each profile with a picture of someone, a name and 1000 connections a la the linkedin directory of users floating around bhw.

I create 100 profiles with different names/pictures under different ip's all linking back to my url.

White hat or black hat? Is this going to cause trouble. I cant imagine how they can detect this.

thats spam...probably google cant detect if you are doing everything looking natural and changing your ip will only being undetected by Linkedin, but a lot of backlinks coming from the same website (same ip) doesn't give the bigger power as coming from different websites (different ips). If you want to receive power from a lot of backlinks from the same website try leaving your link in signatures of high pr forums.

You want a variation of sites linking to you not just a bunch of links from the same place.

I do have a lot of sites pointing at me, I just thought this would be a sexy compliment to my SEO. Good advice though, thanks. Yes, I did change my ip before building another profile.

quality matters alot then quantity

if links come from different Ip then its good or links come from same website worth too but not give much juice

be natural, just dont do those 1000 in one night
