They wouldnt choose multiple choice answers simply because it doesnt make sense. Because you try four or three times and get one success. That would be similar to the successrate of some captchabreakers nowadays.

Third... The images would be limited. Because they need to precalculate this captchas and they cant provide a huge number of objects the answers will be limited. And that leads to... that it is breakable probably.

True. By the same token, a animated gif like that would still take a while to load.

Why wouldnt it? You wouldnt have ONE captcha, with 4 answers. And everytime you reload the page it gives you the same image. There could be a service that all day they are creating new images to create into short clips, and then have a massive database of them. Quite obviously, there wouldnt be 1 image with 4 answers and you could brute your way in.

I dont get it.. How would it be limited? They could pretty much do any object at all and it would work. Hell even if it was a static image, and they just had the dots moving around in random patterns to form the image, it would still work.

I think this can be broken. One can use a statistical method to remove some of the noise, a vector field method to boost some of the signal and a neural net to identify the animated figure. This is a lot of technology, but it already exists and just needs to be strung together.

Look at the Google tech talk on neural nets for more detail. I doubt it will be necessary though - Microsoft developed something like this awhile ago and nothing came of it.

Worst case: have humans solve it for free porn, to 'verify' their 'free ringtone' or whatever.
