Cloudflare <-> reverse proxy 1 <-> reverse proxy 2 <-> backend server


I want to set up multiple reverse proxy server between CDN server and backend server. I know this is quite costive and inefficient way but I want to hide data no matter what happens.

Is this possible with NGINX or HAproxy?

It's possible to have as many reverse proxies as you wish. Each proxy must be configured to contact the next. Nginx does this easily. Not familiar with haproxy though.

There will be a significant impact on the response time of the server to sending information to the client (especially if the distance between the 2 proxy servers is significantly farther away).

i am aware of two methods for HAProxy one is layer 4 and second is layer 7, but haproxy acts as a load balancer

Reverse Proxy is possible with both NGINX or HAproxy. But i suggest go with Nginx
And note as many reverse proxy you use there is a delay on forward node no matter how super you configure you cannot avoid that delay.

but i really wonder why you want to use that many layers ? if that is for hiding your backend server then your just wasting time
