OK, let me know if I've understood this method correctly:
Say you're trying to rank for "blue widgets", you can look at the sites already ranking and drop them into Majestic SEO.
Providing you're a subscriber you can then take a list of their backlinks and put them into the Sick Platform Reader.
The Platform reader will then work out what type of sites they are and output a list.
You can then put this list into Sick Submitter and attempt to drop your links onto those sites. When doing this you will need some private proxies to maintain a high success rate.
