I'm 17 right now, graduating in 4 months(well, I'm supposed to be), making about $300+ a day from stuff that I wouldn't call blackhat, I'd say from exploiting something a rich company has not picked up on for a few months. Once I collect enough cash I plan on investing it into black hat stuff on here so I can get "legitimate" income and actually be depositing it in the bank, rather then leaving cash around my room.
Anyway, my parents are making me go to college because of some scholarship I got, but I don't want to go, and if I do I don't intend on staying the duration if I don't like it or it interferes with my schedule. It's just a local community college, so I can still live at home if I wanted to.
Here is my question: Is it realistic for me to, at 18, which is about a month after I graduate, get an apartment in the area and instead of getting some shitty job like everyone else go black hat full time? My parents keep telling me to get a job and laugh when I tell them I am moving out, are they just being like anyone's parents would be or is my plan actually unrealistic?
For reference, I live in MA if it makes any difference.
