I had someone help me try and get some negative links off google I think he spammed the url in question

This guy obviously didint know what he was doing instead of making it go down it gave the url 376 back links

is there anyway to find where these back links are located ? the person who did the work is no longer around

That's the best way of doing it. Actually, there are a lot factors involved in this. Just wait and see if the neg links go down or not.

Do you have a google webmaster account? That's where I find most of my backlinks that affect my SEO.

OP obviously tried to negative seo an url on the serps , but hired a guy that actually boosted the link. At least thats what i understood

OP hired a guy to remove negative links targetting his site but ended up spamming his url.
I think you should check out webmaster tools.

You can get the details through ahref also. Be careful hiring someone who is going to work directly for your site.

1. Take a look at your webmaster tool as above said.
2. Do manually search for links on google - links:website.com this will take so much time.

OR do subscribe for ahrefs or majesticseo.
