To summarize, this thread explains a new GWT message saying, "Specifically, look for possibly artificial or unnatural links on your site pointing to other sites that could be intended to manipulate PageRank."

Why would you think that is Penguin 2.0? The thread you referenced looks like a webmaster that was smacked for selling links. Or maybe I'm missing something? lol

Yes, this is true...but this is a brand new message in GWT...am i wrong in this?

it would seem google would want to kill negative SEO and this is a way to do it...

not sure, just asking the questions and i will let the court (you) decide...

Exactly, new GWT message!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cutts says penguin 2.0 is coming...no one knows exactly what to expect....

i have a feeling this is it, if i am wrong, i am sure everyone will ridicule...and thats ok...

lets give this thread a week or so and see what happens...lets see how many people receive this new message...

GOD, i hope i don't receive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...i don't run a link network so i don't know why i would but i do run an authority site and i have learned to expect the worst when it comes to google...my two cents...

the first wave will be the messages into your GWT account and if you are not running a link network, then you WON'T receive these messages, at least not the one this individual received...

in my humble opinion, its impossible to know one way or the other...i hope i am wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but if i am right, then penguin 2.0 will not be a problem for most of us as this message seems to target link networks, so maybe this is a good thing...

How can you keep saying this is killing negative seo both in this thread and the other?! If you were to neg seo a competitor what do do you.. point a few high pr links at their site or blast them with thousands of low quality spam links?! You think google is gonna send that message out to every blog that has a linkable comment out to another site?! No!!!! It's obvious they found a signal the OP's site was selling links and they're requesting him to stop or pay the consequences... but where you get the end of neg seo from I do not know.
