Hi guys, my website has been running for about a month and I have added about 20 articles on it (all written by me). I am promoting some products from CJ on it as well as adSebnse, and get about 40 visitors per day. I am still working on SEO for my site, but is it normal to not make any money from 40 visitors per day? I read about ad placement and everything, but it doesn't seem like people want to click.

What gives?

yes it;s normal becasue conversation ratio may be 1: 300 and so on.

I see, thanks. So you would need about 1000 visitors a day to make any real money?

Not really.. Some products convert well and some don't.. Besides that there are a dozen other reasons to low conversions

your site based on which niche??

What page gets he most visitors? it might be a good indicator on what product to focus more attention on

It all depends on the ability of the niche you're promoting. Sometimes, they get huge response from low traffic. I have a couple of sites, on which I promote CJ, CB and some other CPA in mixed form on each site. I have seen some converting with just 10s of visits and some don't even convert with 1000. Better do some research before selecting a product to promote, you'll see good results.

I agree that you need a lot more traffic before you will start making any money. Unless you have something on your site that people can't help but to click on, they won't. Try to put something that sparks people's curiosity. If you have a banner on your site that says "DON'T CLICK THIS AD!!!!" That makes people wonder why shouldn't they click the ad, so they will click it.

You need to present people things that will help them with something or make something easier. Things like that usually do well. It's all about getting an emotional reaction from people. That's just my input.
