I have $60 in paywithmoon.com platform, it's require ID verification to request refund.
Is this normal? why do the require verification for refund?

Pretty much all CEX require some form of KYC these days, doesn’t necessarily sound out of the ordinary. I’m not familiar with that specific platform though.

All exchanges require ID verification, and if they don't they are probably trying to scam you and run away with your money.
 
Yeah, ID verification can be part of refund checks to prevent fraud, but check their official policy first. If you’re unsure, contact support and ask why it’s required before submitting your ID.

almost every virtual card provider enforces kyc when u request a rf back to your bank.. in order to prevent money laundering and chargeback fraud
 
You’re going to have a tough time finding a platform that doesn't prompt you to KYC these days, due to regulations they’re all slowly enabling mandatory KYC. The only option would be going through P2P platforms.
 
Welcome to 2026 where the banking industry is making everything crypto relate as hard as possible due to AML regulations.
 
Unfortunately standard stuff these days. As soon as some big platforms do it, the general trend is to follow suit. Now virtually everyone is requiring identity verification for just about anything, for one reason or another.
