Newbie here.
So, I created 2 accounts and both of them stating that they were created in the USA. I don't live there.
The first one got suspended after only half hour, The second one(in the picture) I just created it and still waiting for what will happen.
I'm not using any VPN or proxy nor RDP, just my 4G data.
Is this something normal? Or do I need to configure something?
Thank you.Windows 7 x64-2021-01-10-15-13.png

Don't have much experience with eBay, but are your cookies perhaps leaking your location?

For example, if you're logged in and using the VPN and then logging out and browsing the site without having your VPN enabled.

4G data have which country IP? Morocco? In 99%, if you create a US eBay account from any other country, it will be disabled asap. If you contact support and provide US ID, they will enable it.

Before I create this account I used CCleaner to remove all cookies for my PC. Besides, I didn't use any VPN to browse eBay.

The country is Morocco. I didn't mean to create a US account, just a regular account with a normal 4G connection.

If you do all by the book, contact support. I never had any problem with them.

I think 4g proxies are highly overrated to the point that people don't understand what they are.

4g proxie are just using mobile data networks and are subnet of IPs reserved for mobile devices, so they're less likely to have been used/abused.

They're still tied to the country that mobile service is from - so if you're using your phone, the IP will trace back your country (unless you're renting it from someone who's able to create country-specific 4g ips in the US, etc.).

I'm using my usual 4G connection, no proxy here. When I'm browsing eBay, it automatically detects my original country for the shipping destination, but when I create the account it shows it's created in the USA.

If your 4g IP is not in the US, which it sounds like it's not, they will record your account as being from another country. You can change the country in the sign up process, but that doesn't mean you've suddenly evaded their fraud/anti-abuse filters.

If you want a clean US account, you have to fake your IP & the signup.

Don't be lazy now, go get a good VPS. Will hardly cost 10-15 bucks a month!

eBay sees something they don’t like. Could be you made your account on ebay.com when it should’ve been for eBay in your country.

they might just find it suspicious that no residential IP has been tied to the account.

all you can do is appeal and if that fails, make a new account with more caution

wait, do you need a moroccan account or a USA account?
you can change the location in the settings, that's not a problem.

Honestly, I didn't know I can change the country in the sign up process.

Actually, I was looking to create an account with my local IP(Morocco). So, no VPS is needed.

Here in Morocco, we don't have a custom domain so we use ebay.com
This account is still not suspended for the moment, so no appeal is needed.

I needed a Moroccan account, I didn't know I can change the location in the settings.
The problem is solved after setting up the shipping address, I was waiting for the suspension before I enter the address.
Sorry guys for the inconvenience.
