Is this normal policy for aliexpress?

Hello I'm new to the wholesale scene. I purchased my first shipment from CHina 3 weeks ago and it went pretty well. Then I found aliexpress and my eyes lit lol...I found a nice 'lot' that I wanted to order but when checking out my payment was blocked and I had to make a claim and they said for me to be a buyer on there I had to supply copies of

1.my id
2. my bank card
3. a bank statement

I sent the id and bank card because tons of people shop on here and it's gotta be legit right? Well that wasnt good enough and they want a statement too. Is this normal? I'm very paranoid now. Thanks for any help.

From what I can see from google, your CC company has blocked the transaction.

Call your card company to ask about it.

makes sense my bank did ask me if i did the charge but i didnt wanna say yea and then lose the 100 bucks because alibaba had already sent me a email saying my payment was blocked i got paranoid..so should i try the order again then tell my bank that i did want it charged? hopefully then the order will be reversed and work

Yeah, Just tell them about it. Its just to prevent fraud and for your protection. Just tell them when they ask how much you intend on sending and that you are allowing the transaction.

it is legit if it's aliexpress that ask u to do that cos 400 million Chinese are using alipay.
