Is This Normal? (Indexing)

I just registered an expired domain, it's all good. I added 10 articles and it wasn't indexed however after submitting 4 of it to GSC manual indexing then it got indexed.

However the rest aren't. I know google naturally indexes content but it's weird that i have to manually index content for it to show up.

It's still early days but just wondered.

Yes that is normal. Eventually, it will index on its own but for faster indexing manual is the way to go.

it's not weird, because it's not true (ie. you don't have to manually index content for it to show up, content indexes on its own if it's what google wants)
 
it's a pretty good sign to have the domain indexing & ranking quickly for its previous keywords (or any other stuff),
but it's not a problem if it doesn't, sometimes it takes up to a couple of months, more commenly 2-4,
especially if the domain has been out of the index for a relatively long time, it could get into some sort of a sandbox,
you did add it to GSC already, just submit the sitemap and be patient
 
It's common for indexing to take longer than expected at times. In such cases, we may need to submit the content through the Google Search Console (GSC) tool or use third-party tools for manual indexing.
 
Tough to predict Google. But it's not required to push indexing through gsc. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

But if your content is useful and informative then there is high chance of indexing faster.
 
For a new website, its normal. It will take some time to index naturally

Did you make sure the contents are really good enough and informative for the readers? if so it will get indexed soon most likely

Just wait and see, don't panic

It is normal. They will probably get indexed in around a week. Manual indexing is faster though.
 
It's normal for new websites, as advised. You can keep adding more high quality articles relevant to the niche with proper internal linking. Make sure you have done proper on page optimation and promote the articles on social media pages.
 
Focus your efforts on on-page and you'll get indexed pretty quick
 
This can happen if the website has been inactive for a while, causing Google bots to overlook it, assuming it's no longer updated. To resolve this, submit the sitemap to Google Search Console and wait for it to be indexed as you have already submitted 4 new pages.
 
This can happen if your articles are not relevant to the topic of the expired domain. Make sure your content is in the same subject area.

This is my case, I have added a sitemap and made some good blog posts but not yet indexed.
 
Make sure your articles has enough content. It might be that the page looks "empty" to Google, hence not relevant.
 
Validate your content is in the same subject area. Expired domains generally require some time before they get indexed. Manually submitting your articles to Google Search Console is a recommended practice. Try to have the articles or topic relevant to the expired domain
 
Expired domains needs sometime to get indexed. It is good that you submitted manually through GSC. Also domain history, spam score also a fact that it is not getting indexed automatically.
