Is this normal for web 2.0 links?

I created several web 2.0 properties with links on them to my money site, and my site moved up four spots. However, the sites themselves are not in Google, meaning they won't show up even if you search for the domains. Obviously Google has seen the links, so is this normal? I'm new at the whole web 2.0 link thing by the way, this is the first time I've tried it.

I wouldn't say it's normal at all.
However, google's index will prob show them within a week, but sometimes, for crappy keywords, the rank changes faster than this.

If it's not showing up when you type "inurl: <part of the link>" google prob hasn't gotten your links.

Sounds like they are not indexed. You can wait for Google to notice them, or you can build some links to them to get them noticed. As far as you asking if it is normal that really depends on how long it has been. Some web 2.0s can be hard to get indexed, but if they are unique content they should get noticed sooner or later, but I personally like to throw some crappy links at them to speed up the process.

Expertpeon did a good job explaining it. The rankings can change before the links show up, but depending on backlinks and the web 2.0 property you used, your the new sites shouldn't take too long to become indexed.

Have you built any backlinks to the web 2.0's?

I set 3 sites up 3 days ago and one two days ago. First I made a blog on Blogspot, then a Wordpress blog, then a Squidoo lens, and then a Weebly page. I linked the Blogspot page to my site, then the Wordpress page to my Blogspot page and my site, the Squidoo page to my Wordpress page and my site, and the Weebly page to the Squidoo lens and my site. I submitted the first three pages to Digg, and Google's add url feature, and I submitted all of them to Ping-o-matic. However, my money site might be doing the Google dance, because sometimes it shows up on page one and sometimes it doesn't show up at all. Right now it isn't even showing up. I'm beginning to think that Google thinks I'm building a link wheel, although my plan was to have more of a link chain. Either way, my guess is that Google is frowning on the type of interlinking I've been doing. Either that or something else is going on. Either way, I'll complete the link chain I had planned for this project just to see what happens, but if it doesn't work out (which it probably won't) I'll probably stick to more discreet link pushing in the future.

Just be patient, if the sites are new. The time to start worrying is when nothing happens after 1 month. If you have quality content and backlinks you can sure hope that your site
will start to show in the results.
