A domain name doesn't have to be "perfect" to rank. Some really awful/hard-to-remember/meaningless domains have ranked quite well. Some domains like that have sites that rake in the $$$ daily. The domain name, it and of itself, is not the main thing.
Examples? Check out vat19 dot com. It's one of the most clever, well-done sites I know of. They do all sorts of things right. But their domain has no meaning, and certainly nothing to do with funny items, novelties, or cool stuff. It could be a domain for anything (or nothing). Granted, it's a short domain (which is desirable) but that's all it has going for it.
Speaking of short domains, yours is pretty short. Not bad. I think it has potential for a few different things. "But it's a dot-net!!" you say. Why yes, yes it is. But that is not a death blow for a site. Especially for a "technology" niche.

So is your domain worth something? Sure. Does it have potential? Absolutely. But not because of the name or the TLD alone.
