I have a nuisance of a competitor who is a nationwide brand. I am guessing city to city the anaylze who their best competitors are and just do dirty sh@$. Here are my two questions.

1. Is page scraping still effective when they sprinkle bit and pieces of your(my) content into their :
A. pbn network sites that are just their for linking.
B. On the city pages then mine use pieces of your content

Bonus: its obvious the nationwide is stalking me, any sales point like if I say do this at 2pm. All of a sudden when noticed they add content or pages for the same.

2. I am getting keyword clicks on GSC for apsects of the business they lie and say they can do so basically something they heavily advertised that is related. I dont want theses clicks because I do not sell this. Seems weird I am getting keyword cliques on a gimmick they run.

Sorry to be vague I dont want to say what this is about.

  1. Scraping + reuse in PBNs/city pages still works short-term but risks penalties if detected, especially if duplicate/spun poorly. Monitor with Copyscape/DMCA takedowns if needed.
  2. GSC clicks may come from topical relevance or shared branding, use negative keywords, deoptimize unwanted terms, or clarify on-page content to filter
Yes, sounds like they’re watching closely, track their changes with tools like Visualping or SE Ranking’s competitor monitor.

Negative SEO often involves spammy backlinks, duplicate content, or fake reports aimed at hurting your rankings. If you see a sudden drop in traffic or bad links, it could be a sign.

Hello man
Yes, content scraping remains effective for competitors using your content on their PBN sites or city pages. This practice can lead to duplicate content issues, potentially harming your site's rankings. To mitigate this, consider implementing canonical tags and monitoring for scraped content using tools like Copyscape.

Yeah, that’s frustrating. Probably from old content or how Google’s interpreting your site. You might want to block or de-optimize those keywords so they don’t attract the wrong traffic.
