Hello everybody,

lets say that i have a website about "car insurance" and i want to rank for this keyword with my homepage:
www.exampledomain.com - car insurance

My other important keyword is "car insurance calculator" for which I have a separate page:
www.exampledomain.com/car-insurance-calculator

Here is the problem. I want to interlink (onpage) the homepage with the car insurance calculator page. I have done it with this anchor text "car insurance calculator". But Yoast SEO is telling me, that I should think about it, because the anchor text has the main keyword for the homepage in it, so it could be a problem (boosting the second page also for the main keyword).

So whats the proper way - link the page www.exampledomain.com/car-insurance-calculator with this or this anchor text:
1) "car insurance calculator"
2) "calculator"
?

Thanks!

If you make your homepage more of a "hub" that links to more in depth information, you probably won't have much of an issue. You might even get additional sitelinks if you secure a #1 spot and your brand has keywords you're targeting.

Hmm not sure about this answer... so which variant should I use?

Anyone else?
