Hi all, I don't normally create threads here but I am quite puzzled at the moment. Sorry if this is wrong thread. No offence intended :D

Here's the thing, due to my dancing and DJing efforts, social media presense, etc ... I was noticed by this clothing brand. I will not out their name, they seem like OK people.

What they want from me is use their cothes - shirts, hoodies, etc ... post pictures of me wearing their clothes while I am doing my usual stuff ... pretty much standard sponsorship, I would think.

Then, they say, before we begin, they want me to become their member that costs £50. Now I know this is not a lot of money to pay to what might become a great opportunity but I started wondering if this is how sponsorships work? Aren't they supposed to pay me to do endorsment and shit? I feel this is quite edgy.

Thanks for your responses.

Sounds like a scam, if they are genuine they wouldn't ask for money, bit like the model agency scam. I'd ignore them and save your money.

Lol, I would tell them to stop smoking and get their offer right. Send me your merch if I like it you pay me $50 I will sponsor it period

I read some more reviews and I found out they don't actually pay. What you need to do is submit the content to their website and then they give you points. Once you get enough points then you get free stuff ... wtf? I guess it's OK to out their name - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/is-this-how-sponsorships-work.1001022/. If I am very wrong I will delete this thread but let it be here so other people don't get too excited.

Thanks for your help, guys!

P.S. while I have not had any dealings with them, they don't seem like scamming people but you will have to work extra hard for free clothes.

Screw those guy's Don! They wouldn't ask you to pay anything for a real sponsorship. In fact, they'd be paying you in addition to dropping off boxes of cloths on your doorstep.

Now that I no longer am exciting about this opportunity, I can finally think straight regarding this issue. I was contacted by someone who supposedly works for their talent search. Then you get the "ref code" to talk directly with LG experts team. Seems like affiliate business, no? I am certain that "talent scout" gets paid for every successful talent.

I hope this thread ranks for the Logan Garments sponsorship so people don't get fooled.

This is nothing short of a scam, if they are 'sponsoring' you to wear their branded clothing it is thy who should be paying you - not the other way round.

I do not really like free stuff.

Because they have many problems and weaknesses.

You have to do something to get free stuff
