Is this Google Dance?

Hey Guys!

I know this is probably Google Dance, but would love to hear some opinions. So I have a site of my own in a foreign country (It's SEO related), registered the domain about 4 months ago, put some content on it, and left it there to pass the sandbox time period.

Now, I have started to publish content (The content is from English sites, translated and rewritten), started link building from my own foreign PBN network around 3 weeks or so ago. Been steadily building ever since, while keeping it random.

A lot of keywords that I have been ranking for were in better positions than they are in now. For example, for a keyword the best spot was 34, now I am 43.

For the main keyword I am targeting, when i started link building and tracking it, i was at spot 83 and even jumped to 70, then to 130-140 and it's been sitting there ever since.

Although my graph looks like Mount Everest right now, and it's pretty cool, I am still bit worried If there is something I fucked up, or I should just forget about my tinfoil hat, and say it's Google Dance.

My On-Page is Good, have been really careful with it, used similar keyword density as the top-3, i have topical supporting pages internal linked to the articles, I have more images, more words.

What do you think? Is this just Google dance, or is there something wrong with my PBNs? My anchor texts are fine.

One thing I was thinking about, is that i have been using the "submit url index" function in Google to index my PBN articles, is it something i should be worried about?

Thank you very much in advance, and sorry for the long post!

it is hard to say really, and you are still in the early stages, so I guess yes you can call it google dance.

Did you ask google to index your PBN posts while logged in with your money site credentials? Or do you have different logins, which would be safer.

Yup, I was still logged in with my money site credentials... I know pretty dumb, but just realised this now..

I think it's possibly Google Dance, I've just started to build links, and the site had only 1-2 backlinks before i started it out.

Thanks for the fast reply!

That's not a google dance. Something's up with your SEO.

Are you sure your content is 100% unique? Are you not duplicating it within your site? How about your internal linking structure?

A dance implies more movement.. it s kinda early to say for sure, but i m leaning towards a type of penalty... i hope i m wrong though..

The page I am trying to rank was inspired by a lot of English articles, but ran a plagiarism check, and couldn't find similar in my country. I'm 100% sure I am not duplicating it within the site and for the supporting articles, I did like: Keyword research and link building, and articles like "5 bad SEO techniques", "Top 3 SEO Factors in 2017".

I will have to check out my internal linking anchors, but tried to do something similar as the top 1 site, but not exactly the same. I had a widget that displayed the latest post, and WordPress automatically put it on every post I made, I removed that.

Why I was thinking about links is because the site was ranking fine, and i actually hit #70 but as you can see on the chart, it dove down.

Thank you very much for your answer mate!

Thank you very much! Apart from some kind of link penalty, I can't really imagine having one, I will double check everything on the site though.

for sure its Google dance, you can still get back on track by adding new contents and a lot of good SEO

I just noticed that I have a category page, that has all of the pages of the topic in it, and it is indexed, meaning it could be possibly duplicate content, right?

I got the same problem mate.

What you need are high authority links, more link diversity and social signals.

Thanks for the reply mate! I've got a pack of country specified citations coming to the website, and social signals as well. But definately kudos to bartosimpsonio ,because i may have a duplicate content penalty, because i didn't have the category pages no-index (it's a routine i do for every site, of course i forget it for my site..) and they were showing the posts fully, making it duplicate content.

Does anyone knows, if i might have a duplicate penalty, and no-index , re crawl the site and the category page, how soon will it lift off? Thank you!

Use excerpts can keep the words count low 100-150 words. I wouldn't really recommend to put it on noindex.

To put into perspective is it a dance... this is a site I registered last week:

YOU GOT HIT SON.

What link building did you do?
Do you rank for any keywords?
Content Length?
Do you have the correct LSI in your content?
Do you have any internal linking?

Also, don't worry about hitting index with the same Google account, i've indexed all my PBN's with the same G account. It is a myth that it does anything at all.

Wow, good job mate!

-I'm only doing my own PBNs.

-Yes, I rank for a bunch, It looks like this.

-My content is usually, 1000-1500 words long, that main piece of content we are talking about is about 3000.

-Yup, I have the correct LSI, i tried top see and combine what the TOP 3 is using, and do it like that.

-Yes, I do, For every money page(Currently have two money pages), I have about 4 supporting topical articles interlinked. Maybe I got a little crazy with the internal anchor texts, I gotta check.

Thank you!

You mention that the post in categories making you have duplicated content on homepage post? Then you shall put canonical tag to every post you made, so you can avoid internal duplicate content.

In my opinion it is Google dance.
Even I experienced that but after few days rankings got better than before.
