I pick a random keyword that has no meaning at all but has 600+ results, I use one of my programs to submit to social bookmarks adding keyword+link to random site that was ranked for that specific keyword.

Now, will this results because ranked first because it is my exact keyword used (which is random) and all other results don't have that exact keyword in the sites title or description?

Did you use Google translate to write that post? It's damn....confusing..:confused:

It will work, but do you think ranking for "gyusdgfhfbskfgdslfdsbhfdsjklvbds" is of any use?

Lol sorry on my mobile and it's a bit confusing to explain.

While writing that I had one of the social bookmarks I just submitted rank #1.

Just a test :)

Wow. Now expect a few thousand visits from that lol...

Probably a little more than that buddy.

If you don't mind - could you clarify it a bit? It sound interesting, I'm just not grasping the details of it. What kind of keyword is it and how you find it? OK, so you grab the keyword and the page that ranks first for it and send it to the social bookmark sites. Where do you enter your own url?

You can pm me if you don't feel comfortable discussing it here. Sounds intriguing!

The answer is, and always will be, "it depends". The algo is pretty good at picking up sentiment. Even if there are only 600 results, and the top 5 results are ranking based on internal alone, you'd need to out-optimize them (see: LDA) and out-juice them as well. Sometimes that's a lot, sometimes it's a little.

I've got a side project that's ranked # 3 right now out of 83mil results but it only gets about 30 visits a month. I never built a single backlink to it, the only thing driving it is the domain name and the meta information..

Can you rank # 1 for a term that's relatively unique with low competition with little to no effort? Absolutely. Go for it, even it's just a minor personal victory.
