I never bought any expired domains before. The goal is to build an authority website.

I found one that seems decent, but I want to ask for your advice in case if I miss something.

The data is the following:

Birth year: 2010
Last Wayback Machine crawl: 2016
Total crawls: 46
Backlinks/domains: 193/10
SEMRush DA: 11
Moz DA: 9
Content: it used to have about 35 articles (500-700 words), directly related to my niche
Backlink profile: Seems to be ok. Some bl domains have DA 50-60 and related to my niche, some are not related but also with a decent DA.
The only thing is a couple of bl domains have spam score of 20-30%. However they don't seem to be spammy, more like directory sites.

Is there anything I should take into consideration to make the domain is good to build my new site on it?

Worth a shot. Register it and restore any articles that you can use from the archive

Has it been dropped at any time?

Thanks a ton! I just checked following the tutorial. After the original owner the domain got dropped once more and it was connected to onamae.jp nameservers that are recommended to avoid.

In addition, during the time of the second (.jp) ownership the wayback machine couldn't crawl and it says:

"Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource / could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I guess it's not a good option to go for, is it?

Yes, the domain has been used to spam previously so go for hunting new one :D
Good luck

You will never find anything clean and worthy of a money site by scraping. You have to go through tens of thousands of domains to find a couple of at least somewhat decent ones with RD20+.

Everything has been picked clean 50 times over.

Risk of using scraped domains that you are unable to check yourself as a money site: 100
Benefit of actually using sheer low end domain for money site: 1
