Basically I wanted to start a blog and an affiliate store on the domain virtualrealitygear.net but didnt have the time and I was wondering if it is worth something with the recent expansion of virtual reality or is it just another worth what you paid for it domain. Thanks

I wouldn't say it has much value. It is quite long for a domain that is not .com

It's not worth much more than registration fee, unfortunately.

Did you register that domains name ? If not, someone would register and try to sell it to you back

Thats the problem sharing domain names. Some fucked up domain scavengers register anything they see hoping for some profit.

Nope, pretty much worth as any other domain. Long tail keyword + .net.
