I got an offer for this domain name @ 300 USD. I felt its cheaper considering the fact its a gr8 domain. Also it has only one dash (Hyphen) so I guess its ok.

Would you guys recommend me buy it?

Domain: software-testing[dot]org

I'd sell this domain at this price if I don't have plans to develop it.

It's a little unclear as to what you want to do but if your buying the domain how do you plan on monetizing the keywords "software testing"?

hmm... I can't find a trace of the site on google, but the site appears on the archives of wayback archives as first indexed in 17 may 2001. I suspect blacklisting or sandbox. You should further check on that, maybe get the webmaster to give you more details, if he's not trying to con you. 'Coz if the site is blasted you've just wasted 300 bucks.

Always wonder why someone wants to sell a good domain, after all if you can monetise so can they, yes there always will be good reaons but start from the premise of why and do your due diligence and check everything and everywhere better safe than sorry and $300 buys a lot of domains.

If it is a three letter .com domain, I would say that this is an amazing deal! but since its a domain with "-" and a .org, I with alba56 that you can buy a ton of domains with that $$.

What is your reasoning behind considering to buy this domain?

I don't find sites with hyphens very appealing or marketable; they work, but I certainly wouldn't pay $300 for it.

I would also not pay $300. Seems a bit pricey..

Thats quite a bit of money and its a .org too which is meh

Hyphens , .org . These two factors would make it cost way less than 300$. I would recommend you buy a .com with 'softwaretesting' in it and add something infront or behind. IMO it's better to rank without hyphens and it goes for 10$ tops

id pay 300$ if it was fully developed with some rank behind it. Honestly i don't think the domain is worth it but that's just me. Definitely ALWAYS check for sandbox before you try to buy/sell a domain.

Just $300 for a domain, it is useless, unless if the domain has good page rank in it. If not, it is equal to 10$ piece.

Because you can get new domain for the $10.
