I've started blog in March, about iPad 2, this is my first seo project. I worked on it for about one month, and stoped because of other obligations.

I want to ask are my SEO steps correct:

I did on-page seo, and then I started building links commenting on blogs, then I submited around 20 articles to article directories, after that I did Social Bookmarking and forum profiles.

Is this corrrect, and what links I should ping?

btw. this is my blog: newipad2ndgeneration.com, PR:1 .

edit: Is there any possibility to get ranked now with this blog?

wow thats a long ass domain, your gonna struggle. 20 characters long. doesnt have an exact keyword domain either. I would get a new domain and start over

Just decided to add a bit more.., it does look like the process you went through seems pretty fine, pinging isnt that important if time is on your side. I think the main factor is on your actual domain name

Yeah, I know it's long, I'm targeting iPad 2nd Generation keyword, and when I was buying domain, that one was taken, so i bought that domain.

I'll try to get new domain, but not releated to iPad 2, it's to late I think.
 
Your SEO techniques are good . Also ping all links after submissions . Also do some Directory submissions .

The next Ipad is said to come around christmas 2011, so your blog will than still commenting on 2nd generation? If you dont want to just talk about Ipad 2 even when its long off the shelves, i fear as the previous poster mentioned, its time to rethink the domain name...
 
Hmmm What does ur competition look like ?
If I were you id keep writing new content and and linking
theres nothing wrong with what ur doing (other than the long name) it may be worth keeping
also consider outsourcing link building Its pretty cheap and others on this forum have reviewed them and approved
 
Keep it up. You have to do linkbuilding continuously. You can't just do it and then stop
 
I tested a short snippet of your content and found that same content is resting on many other websites. This you surely have to deal with duplicate content first.

As far as your strategy is concerned, that seems pretty ok to me

When I made this blog and started seo, I didn't have to much competitions, but now there more, a lot of more.

I would like to start outsourcing, but I'm really short with money ( this is not place to talk why ).

One on my friend have did writing for me in March, at that time content was 100% unique.

Then, you probably have submitted content published on your website to multiple directories. When i checked your snippet I found at least 10 results websites showing exactly same content.
 
Just copy what your competitors are doing with backlinks and do 10% more. If your on page SEO is good and your site is aged enough you should rank.
 
build web2.0 site profile links , you 'll get good result within a week.
 
It looks like you're on the right track. Shame you took a break when there was less competition, but with the iPad, how much is less??? Build web 2.0 sites, and don't forget to social bookmark them.

until when? isn't there a phase you're ranked in the same position for a long time and you can stop building backlinks and it'll stay around the same position?
